Six years ago, I sold the web agency I founded to embark on a new journey as a full-time freelancer. This marked the beginning of my quest to find the perfect software for creating proposals and invoices. Over the years, I’ve tried nearly every solution out there—Wave, Bonsai, Harvest, QuickBooks, FreshBooks—you name it.
While these tools are undoubtedly powerful and efficient, they often feel like overkill for a freelancer’s needs. I wanted a well-designed, thoughtfully crafted online software that conveys a professional image to my clients and allows me to manage my proposals and invoices easily and swiftly.
After speaking with many fellow freelancers, it became clear that there was a need for something new in the market. That’s why we built Gestago.
We’re planning an annual pricing model, which simplifies billing for both you and us. Our pricing will reflect our commitment to providing freelancers with the simplest yet most powerful proposal and invoicing software at a great price.
Our small, detail-focused team is working diligently to deliver the app as soon as possible. While we’re moving quickly, we’re also committed to ensuring a top-notch experience, which requires careful attention to detail. We’re aiming for a launch in Spring 2025. In the meantime, feel free to share our invoicing and proposal solutions with your network or reach out if you have any questions.
We do enforce a project-based organization, but how you name or structure your projects is entirely up to you. For instance, if you prefer to create one project per client because you have a lot of recurring work, that’s perfectly fine! You might organize it as "2024 - Adidas" and group all related proposals and invoices within that project.
Additionally, you could create a project named "Draft" to group all pending proposals and then move them to a specific project if accepted. Our grouping functionality is flexible, allowing you to organize your documents in a way that best suits your needs.
